
Depending on what country you are based on hommus can be spelt a number of different ways (including hummus, hamos, houmous, hommos, hommus, hummos, hummous or humus!). It doesn’t matter how it is spelt, it is delicious, and very quick to make.
Quick & Easy Hommus Recipe Ingredients
- 1 tin chickpeas, drained and rinsed well
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped or pressed through a garlic press
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Good glug olive oil (approximately 2 tbs)
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- Water to thin
- Pinch salt
Quick & Easy Hommus Recipe Method
Place all ingredients (except water) in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add the water a little at a time, and continue to pulse until a desirable consistency has been reached (the hommus shouldn’t be watery or too thick). Spoon into a serving disk, top with a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle with additional cumin to decorate.
